“We hired HD One initially to complete an addition on our home (originally built in 1923) that included digging out our existing basement to increase our existing ceiling height. The addition was ~55% of our existing home and included a finished basement with wet bar/full bath, main floor with great room/mudroom/pantry, and second floor with laundry/master bed/master bath. We also removed our stucco siding and replaced with Hardie, redid our existing HVAC to create 1st/basement and 2nd floor zones and waterproofed the entire basement (new and old), insulated the whole house from the outside, replaced the existing roof, and rebuilt the front porch. Needless to say - a lot to get done, and even more to get done the right way given the old bones.
We had a great experience and are very pleased with HD One's work quality, and the project was delivered largely in line with timing expectations.
We found Daniel to be accessible, and when we encountered situations where we needed or wanted a change vs. initial plans, he had multiple ideas for solutions that came with either no or very reasonable cost changes.
We have since hired HD One to complete roof and siding work on our detached garage that matches our home, and then one more to construct a covered outdoor patio in our backyard. If there are any meaningful projects in our future, HD One will be our first, and likely only, call.”
